Widow and Destitute Women Welfare Board has been constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, vide G.O.(Ms) No.56, SW & WE Dept dated: 02.09.2022, to address the various problems faced by vulnerable women including widows, deserted women, orphan women and spinsters, through formulation of necessary schemes to improve their livelihood status by providing them facilities as education, health, employment, special Self Help Group formation, imparting skill training and to help them to lead a safe and dignified life in the Society.
